Descriptif du poste :
We are currently seeking to recruit a research
engineer at the CESP research center (http://cesp.inserm.fr/) to work with the
“Health across Generations” (Marie-Christine Boutron) and “Cancer &
Environment” (Thérèse Truong) teams, in collaboration with the Biomarkers group
of IARC (Sabina Rinaldi and Laure Dossus).
The aim of the project is to assess the role of
inflammation in thyroid cancer risk by evaluating the inflammatory potential of
the diet and by investigating its association with thyroid cancer as well as
its potential interaction with genes involved in the inflammation pathway. This
project is based on data from the EPITHYR consortium and the European cohort
EPIC.
The candidate will work in a cross disciplinary
research team with expertise in epidemiology, nutrition, genetic epidemiology,
and cancer.
Profile requirements
- The
applicant should have a PhD in Epidemiology or Biostatistics.
- Good
programming skills in SAS or R.
- Experience
in nutrition or in genetic is a plus.
- Good
communication skills and interest in working in a cross-disciplinary team
- The
applicant is expected to speak French or English
Application
The earliest start date is October 1st,
2019. The duration of the position is 18 months and it will be located at CESP
(Hôpital Paul Brousse) and Institut Gustave Roussy at Villejuif. Applications
will be considered until the position is filled.
Salary will be based on qualification and
experience according to the Inserm salary grid.
